When word got out that Prada and Adidas would be collaborating on a sneaker, expectations were high. Then, as the Prada x Adidas Superstar sneaker was released in December 2019, we caught a glimpse of what the partnership might look like. Hint: they didn’t disappoint.

Only 700 pairs of the all-white Prada x Adidas Superstar sneakers were released in the first round. The limited run meant that few got their hands on them and many were left wanting more. Now both brands have released a second wave of collaborative sneakers - this time in three colorways.

Building on the suspense of the first release, Prada and Adidas announced three new Superstar styles available on September 8th, 2020. The latest Prada Superstar color schemes are white with black, all-black, and chrome silver with white details.

While you’d typically find original Superstars available for around $80 USD, the Prada x Adidas sneakers come with a hefty $500 price tag. Why? Because each pair is crafted entirely in Italy at Prada’s Montegranaro factory. Manufacturing at Prada’s facilities means no detail is spared, as each artisan guides the Prada Superstars through a 100-step process.

In addition to hand-guided craftsmanship and an intricate manufacturing process, all Prada x Adidas Superstar sneakers are made in premium full-grain leather. Aside from luxury materials, the silhouette of the original Superstar sneakers while Prada branding and “Made in Italy” heat stamping make the exclusivity of the sneaker subtly apparent.

You can find the exclusive Prada Superstar sneakers available on both the Adidas and Prada websites for $525. If you aren’t lucky enough to get your hands on a pair then hold your breath because the Prada x Adidas partnership doesn’t look like it’s ending anytime soon.
